Role Expectations:
- Maintain pipeline
- Pitch commodities (Energy)
- Book and attend meetings with the trading team
- On boarding new clients
- Lead sourcing
- Attend expos and networking events
- Identify tradable opportunities
- Assess prospect appropriateness
- Curate market updates for prospects and clients
- Sell across various commodities
- Possess cross-commodity knowledge
- Contribute to weekly market reports
- Breakdown complex client needs
- Understand company structures
- Possess financial markets knowledge
- Participate in marketing campaigns
- Actively engage with trader names
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Minimum of 1 year of B2B sales experience
- Confident and proactive in communication at all levels, while working as part of a team
- Performance-driven and results-oriented with natural sales ability both on the phone and in person
- Effective relationship builder and influencer
- Excellent time management skills
- Proficiency in MS Office applications
- Ability to achieve performance KPIs
- Capable of identifying and researching market opportunities for new customer acquisition
Desirable Skills & Experience:
- Knowledge of commodity products, particularly in energy and metals
- Understanding of markets and related terminology
- Experience selling hedging products to UK Corporates
- Bachelor’s degree
- Experience writing market updates
- Ability to develop and curate new markets
- Proven track record of building customer relationships in the UK corporate space while delivering on commercial objectives
