Full Description

Our client is seeking a Fixed Income Analyst with strong expertise in Short-Term Interest Rate (STIR) markets.

This role would suit a former STIR trader or Trading Desk Analyst with direct experience across sterling, dollar, or euro area markets.

You’ll bring a deep understanding of swaps, futures, repo, and cross-currency basis, and be highly skilled in delivering actionable insights on fair value, relative value, carry-and-roll, and block trades.

Additional expertise in areas such as fixed income options, curve building, money market microstructure, or monetary policy transmission will be a distinct advantage.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyse sterling and euro area interest rate markets, identifying emerging risks and opportunities.
  • Deliver rapid, high-quality analysis and insight around key market events.
  • Proactively highlight trends, themes, mis-pricings, and market dynamics.
  • Engage in real-time interaction with both buy-side and sell-side clients.
  • Collaborate closely with the wider markets team, including Fixed Income analysts in London and overseas.

Essential Requirements

  • Significant experience trading or covering sterling, dollar, or euro area interest rate markets.
  • Deep knowledge of interest rate products and money market mechanics.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, real-time environment with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Strong academic background — undergraduate degree required, with a relevant postgraduate qualification preferred.
